There are several separately funded projects housed at the Sheps Center which are related to health workforce issues. Please click on the links below or to the left to learn more about each project.

North Carolina Health Professions Data System: one of the most comprehensive and one of the few continuously maintained state-level data systems available to track the supply of health professionals

Allied Health: a project designed to assess issues related to the supply and distribution of North Carolina's current allied health workforce

Program on Health Professions & Primary Care: addresses issues of recruitment and retention of health care practitioners in rural practice, as well as the projection of need and demand for health professional personnel

Dental Health Professional Shortage Area: a contract was awarded to develop a methodology to designate dental health professional shortage areas over the next two years
